FAMILY CHILD CARE

CHILDCARE PROVIDERS

All of our providers’ homes follow FCC regulations and availability may change at any time during the month. Contact the FCC Office for possible openings in the Family Child Care Homes, Extended Duty Care, Subsidized Care, and other special programs.

MEALS

Proper nutrition is important to good health and also an important part of good child care. Children need well-balanced meals in order to meet their daily energy needs and to help them build strong bodies and minds. All of our meals follow USDA meal patterns each day.

ENROLLMENT

When you enroll your child, you will need to provide: Current immunizations record, Completed AF Form 1181, School information (for children receiving before and/or after school care), Diet and allergy statements as needed (all documentation must be from a medical physical),  local emergency contact information (other than you and/or your spouse). If you are just arriving to JBER, you may use your immediate supervisor and/or First Sergeant as your emergency contact(s) until you have established relationships with other reliable sources.

BECOME A PROVIDER

Licensing classes are scheduled monthly at the FCC Office. The program continues to grow in positive directions and always looking for individuals who are able to provide care during swing, weekend, day, and evening shifts. The program also needs providers who can care for children with special needs. Please note your availability and skill level when calling!

We understand that choosing a child care environment for your child is a big decision. The JBER Family Child Care (FCC) Program offers a variety of child care options to meet your needs. Our licensed providers offer part-time or full-time care on base for:

  • Infants

  • Toddlers

  • Preschool

  • School age

If you are looking for a home environment, more one-on-one attention, and smaller ratios, a FCC home may be right for you!  FCC homes are independent businesses and prices may vary.

“This was our first time putting our three year old in a daycare setting, it was so hard at first but finding Macy was a blessing. She is so sweet to my daughter and makes her feel special to where she actually likes being with her. She goes above and beyond to make sure to plan activities the kids will enjoy that are both fun and educational. I can’t compliment her enough.”

“My child had never been to day care and I think I was more nervous than he was. Ms. Macy took excellent care of my baby and even sent me pictures of him throughout the day – that calmed my nerves as I could see he was being well taken care of on his first day away from me. I got to her house to pick my baby up at the end of the day but he was playing happily on his own and didn’t notice me there. It was a wonderful experience. I would recommend Ms. Macy to any parent looking for responsible, caring and professional care for little people. She is excellent!!!!”

“My daughters were in the care of Ms. Stacy for a couple months and we absolutely loved her. She did an amazing job with my girls and they asked to go back every day.  My daughter came home every day and talked about how much she learned. She was excited to bring a book to Ms. Stacey’s house to show her that there was a letter “Y” in the title because they had learned that letter the day before. We would have kept the girls in her care if we knew she would be here for a few more years. Great job Stacy!”
