CPO

The Civilian Personnel Office (CPO) is designated to act as a liaison between the Air Force Personnel Center and civilian personnel at JBER, Alaska. CPO provides assistance for current and prospective civilian employees in a wide variety of areas. Services include, but are not limited to:

• Staffing
• Classification
• Employee and Labor Relations
• Priority Placement Program Enrollment
• Voluntary Leave Transfer Program Enrollment
• Job Fairs

NAF

The Human Resources Office (HRO) is designated to administer the NAF personnel program.

There are two types of employment catagories for NAF positions, Regular and Flexible.
Flexible category employees: Work schedules that depend on the need of the activity. These employees may work anywhere from 0-40 hours per week.
Regular category employees: Have regular work schedules between 20 and 40 hours per week depending on the position.

MPS

The Military Personnel Section is the central hub for all military personnel actions such as issuing ID cards, awards and decorations, in- and out-processing, evaluations, retirements, separations and more. In addition, MPS also offers Career Development programs include Re-enlistments, Retirements, Outbound Assignments, and Promotions.

Walk-ins welcome Mon. – Fri. 7:30 – 11:00 a.m.,

11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. is by appointment only.

Assistant Golf Course Manager

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

Assist the Golf Course Manager in both course and facility operational management and maintenance of the golf course. Implements higher-level directives, formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational and promotional programs. Establishes, reviews, and evaluates food service and purchase of supplies, equipment, and resale merchandise.  Must have experience that shows progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices, or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the functions managed by a golf course manager.

Recreation Aid

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

Supports customers of Arts & Crafts by completing framing, engraving and multi-craft orders. Conducts inventory, stocks shelves, and displays merchandise. Operates a cash register to receive payment for work orders and resale items. Practical knowledge of graphic art, color coordination, and artistic skills desired. Ability to safeguard and handle cash. Requires flexibility and versatility. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, minor cuts and scrapes. Must have knowledge of basic computer operations. Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to and including 35 pounds.

Tool and Parts Attendant

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of wide variety of automotive tool and parts; good work shop practices to include setting up and maintaining a neat, well organized and secure storage area, and routing equipment to appropriate shops for possible repairs. Must be able to stand, bend and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. This position will require working on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. It will also require frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasional handling of items weighing up to 40 pounds. Heavier items may be lifted with assistance.

Fisher House Assistant Lodging Manager

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

This position will be assigned to the JBER Fisher House, where military & Veterans families stay free of charge while a loved one is in the hospital. They provide temporary accommodations and support for Active Duty, National Guard, Retiree’s Veteran’s and their families, traveling more than 50 driving miles to receive medical care. Fisher House accommodations are provided at no cost to guests and located within walking distance of the treatment facility.

Human Resources Assistant (OA)

Provides recruitment and placement services to all NAF activities to include receiving requests to fill vacant positions, preparing and forwarding lists of applicants and maintaining applicant files.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Child and Youth Program Assistant

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

The incumbent will serve as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs and will be accountable for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth. Provides care/supervision, oversight and accountability for program participants. Assists in preparing age appropriate activities; supervises children and youth during indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings and special events; arranges and serves snacks/meals. Executes work in accordance with policies and regulations. May be required to transport children in government vehicles.
