Ski/Snowboard Instructor

Hillberg Ski Area

  • Works as a Recreation Aid (Ski or Snowboard Instructor) at the Hillberg Ski Area instructing groups and individuals in daily and weekly ski programs, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to students who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Teaches children as well as adults. Under the direction of the Hillberg Lesson Center Director, teaches skiing or snowboarding with the best practices outlined by the Professional Ski Instructors of America PSIA or the American Association of Snowboard Instructors AASI.
  • The safety of the students must always be the number one priority. Is responsible for ticket handling for groups of students and must maintain good internal control practices to keep track of these tickets.

Child and Youth Program Assistant
(Child Development)

  • Accountable for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth.
  • Provides care/supervision, oversight and accountability for program participants.
  • Multiple Schedules – Guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
  • Assists in preparing age appropriate activities; supervises children and youth during indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings and special events; arranges and serves snacks/meals.

Recreation Assistant (Swim Instructor)

Buckner Fitness Center Pool.

  • Provides swimming lessons and instruction to groups of adults and/or children, or to individual adults or children.
  • Instructs patrons on rules and procedures for safe swimming.
  • Works in swimming pool environment where lifeguards are present to perform lifesaving activity. As necessary works as a lifeguard.
  • Assists lifeguards in inspecting pools for safe conditions, and perform other duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming pool to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, and pool decks. Incumbent will periodically be required to demonstrate lifesaving ability during in-service training for one hour twice a month for a total of two hours.

Tools & Parts Attendant

Auto Hobby 

  • Greets customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. Ensures customers complete all required paperwork for facility usage. Maintains system for accountability of tools issued to customers.
  • Provides instructions to customers on cleaning processes, soiled rag disposal, sweeping and cleanup of repair stall and removal of excess automotive parts.
  • Operates cash register and accounts for funds using established internal control procedures. Maintains accountability for tool inventory.
  • Ensures tools turned-in are clean and in same working condition as issued, inspects issued tools/equipment for damage, assessing fee/charge for lost/damaged tools and equipment by the prescribed price listing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Human Resources Office (HRO) is designated to administer the NAF personnel program. There are two types of employment categories for NAF positions, Regular and Flexible.

  • Flexible category employees: Work schedules that depend on the need of the activity. These employees may work anywhere from 0-40 hours per week.
  • Regular category employees: Have regular work schedules between 20 and 40 hours per week depending on the position.
