Child and Youth Program Assistant

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

The incumbent will serve as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs and will be accountable for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth. Provides care/supervision, oversight and accountability for program participants. Assists in preparing age appropriate activities; supervises children and youth during indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings and special events; arranges and serves snacks/meals. Executes work in accordance with policies and regulations. May be required to transport children in government vehicles.

Food Services

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

Prepares serving bowls and platters with hot and cold foods. Deliver the correct amount of prepared food platters, bowls, pitchers, and utensils to classrooms so that family style dining is used. Ensures that all platters, bowls, and pitchers are covered with saran wrap or foil before being taken from the kitchen. Performs heavy duty cleaning tasks such as ceilings, exhaust hoods, under and behind kitchen equipment. Recreation Specialist

DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

Under the direction of the Outdoor Adventure Director, participates in a large year-round Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP), Trap and Skeet (T & S) Leads, teaches, organizes, advises on, assesses and administers outdoor recreation programs. Develops and submits all marketing requirements. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OAP activities/programs, T & S. Interprets regulations, develops local compliance procedures and addresses related problem situations.

CPO

The Civilian Personnel Office (CPO) is designated to act as a liaison between the Air Force Personnel Center and civilian personnel at JBER, Alaska. CPO provides assistance for current and prospective civilian employees in a wide variety of areas. Services include, but are not limited to:

• Staffing
• Classification
• Employee and Labor Relations
• Priority Placement Program Enrollment
• Voluntary Leave Transfer Program Enrollment
• Job Fairs

NAF

The Human Resources Office (HRO) is designated to administer the NAF personnel program.

There are two types of employment catagories for NAF positions, Regular and Flexible.
Flexible category employees: Work schedules that depend on the need of the activity. These employees may work anywhere from 0-40 hours per week.
Regular category employees: Have regular work schedules between 20 and 40 hours per week depending on the position.

MPS

The Military Personnel Section is the central hub for all military personnel actions such as issuing ID cards, awards and decorations, in- and out-processing, evaluations, retirements, separations and more. In addition, MPS also offers Career Development programs include Re-enlistments, Retirements, Outbound Assignments, and Promotions.

Walk-ins welcome Mon. – Fri. 7:30 – 11:00 a.m.,

11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. is by appointment only.
